The Old Boys: Plane

This short series of works (3 so far), celebrates ancient trees. From my own photographs (I have even more photographs of trees than waves...) I outlined the general shape of each tree on raw canvas, then began using the sewing machine needle as a pencil, drawing and shading.

This work, London Plane Tree, was shown  in Monaco, south of France, and at a prestigious hotel in Wales.

The work is 58 x 88 cm, with a treble mount and wooden frame.
